Apocalypto is an Academy Award nominated 2006 epic film directed by Mel Gibson. Set in Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula, it depicts one man's experience during the decline of the ancient Maya civilization. I first saw this film while I was djing in Asia. I thought it was one of the most powerful films I ever saw. This mix reflects the passionate feeling I got from this experience. This musical journey should give you a sense how powerful electronic music really is. Making this cd I visualized the fall of all the corporations that are trying to destroy the underground electronic scene. I fantasize a day when artists take back what belonged to them in the first place. A day when it's not about the bottom line. This trip I created with electronic beats is more on the darker side this time around. Heavy tribal drums,dark vocals, earth shaking bass lines! Think of the tribal warrior fighting for his heritage and his tribal family. I think we all belong to the "UNDERGROUND ELECTRONIC TRIBE". This music and lifestyle is our existence. We have to try our best to preserve what makes us feel alive. REBELS WITH A CAUSE!
